Design Features
Safety and security is paramount for someone suffering with dementia. Devices with automatic power-off cancel the risk of electrical devices being left on for too long and reduce the chances of injury or fire potential. Glass-fronted cupboards that will reveal their contents before opening the door. Lights are activated by movement sensors, saving electricity and eliminating the need to find the light switch when the room is dark. Colour-coded fixtures and fittings help to highlight and identify essential points in the home.
